Anyone else not like the fit of the Elfex around the nose area?

I've tried on other mask and havent had any issue around the nose area. But for some reason my e-flex isnt very comfortable around my nose/nostril area. It feels like its kinda pushing down on it and makes it hard to breathe unless i move the mask up a tad bit.... My nose isnt tiny kinda on the bigger side due to years of abuse, but its not a giant either lol.

Could be a wear in issue my Eflexes are new and feel like it. Hard to describe actually...they don't feel as good as the Events I upgraded from. They fit but aren't perfectly comfortable I guess until worn in a bit.

3 solutions
1) Let them wear in and see if they get better
2) Cut some the foam in the nose area (they are yours after all)
3) Sell them and get something else.

They work great for me.

With masks, it's always best practice to try on as many as you can and choose the one that best fits your head/face and playing style.

Sounds like e-Flex is not for you.

I know that the reason I don't use the Proflex is because the foam is just too constricting at the nose.

As it's been said, some masks just aren't meant to be.

Yea i was hoping it might just be my mask but i guess not.... i really like the look of the eflex, the weight and the coverage. Not to excited about the coverage of the other mask but they just fit my face better.... The world is not fair lol

Yeah I have the same problem... Its one of the main reasons I went back to Grillz. I love the eflex but that was a no go for me...

i guess every mask has problems.... flex has the weirdest one ever for me but it doesnt have the problems that the other mask have

Grillz- Poor vision and bad lenses
Profits- Very poor breathability
i4- Very poor coverage and some have a glare
elfexs- not made for people with bigger than normal noses

I guess choose ur poison lol

All flex's have always been too tight on my nose. That's the only thing stopping me from getting some.

Other Proflexes feel fine on my nose, but the Eflex i just got does pinch a little. I can only guess that the foam eventually contoured to my nose with the Proflexes, so i may not remember if they pinched at some point or not. Hoping the Eflex conforms as well, cuz i like everything else about it.

I'd see if it "breaks in" before cutting it. Maybe hang it on something that puts pressure on the nose area to squash the foam. If you cut it, you have trouble selling it like you said, if that's what you end up doing.

Had the same issue. All the Vents based mask (E-vents, Helix, Avatar, E-flex) fit that way on my face and made it hard to breath. I love my E-flex except for the nose issue. Solved it easily though. Remove the lens and bottoms and tightly wrap two pieces of electrical tape around the frame and foam where it pushes against your nose and the problem is solved. It still fits perfectly on the cheek and bridge of the nose, but the pressure over the nostrils that made it hard to breath is gone. No more breathing problems and it isn't a permanent modification, if you end up selling it later.

i found that if you wear ha headband/beanie in conjunction with the mask, make sure that brow portion of the foam rides on top of the headband/beanie. that changed the angle of mask a bit and made it a bit more comfortable on the my nose. for whatever reason. will try the tape idea though.

e-flex frames def squeeze my nose and makes it harder to breath, however it's gotten better the more i wear them. so i'm thinking it's just a break-in thing. never had any issues with the flex frames, i mainly wear flex 7's or spectras.

Sure!

There is a slot cut out of the frame on either side of the nose. You can just pass a length of electrical tape through there to form a loop and you end up with this. Solved my issue and have no complaints about the E-flex now.

Yeah the little plastic bridge across the nose region of the frames digs into my big ol honker. I cut it out with a dremel then smoothed it out nice and now no problems as long as i use an older flex bottom along with the modified frames.

Interesting. I find myself trying to hike up my strap higher on my head because I have no contact in the nose area at all with my eflexes.
