My friend ran an oversized filter on his SV, and it blew up. He had done that for many many miles. Did that have anything to do with it blowing up? We'll never know.

Food for thought. I run hiflo filters on my bikes.

I brought this home last night. It is supposed to rain all day today, I haven't even taken it out of the back of my truck yet.

Thanks, it is a 2000 with 1,900 miles. I had an '04 for a year but have been out of riding for 2 years now. It will cost less than $10 a month to add to my insurance policy, and will go a long way towards offsetting the amount I spend on gas driving my 10mpg truck around.

I cant seem to get past just how old all of the ninja 250s look before 2008. Maybe Im just too picky but 2008 and after is where i think they really start looking nice.

I guess that's true. I guess in my situation i just feel that ill have it for awhile. I'd be using it in primarily city/around the town driving so i cant really see the need for something really powerful. I could be completely wrong though

Just remember that while you will eat him up off the line and in the turns, a demented hillbilly will be able to keep up with you in his roaring V8 Suburban after you top out at 92mph.

That night I was wishing for a little more power...

Feels good to (kind of) be able to ride without checking the temperatures all the time.

It has been cold and showering or misting just often enough to keep the roads wet for two days straight. I have been going out for 15 minutes here and there just being extremely careful to take it easy and stay out of traffic for the most part. So far, I am pretty impressed with myself. I thought that I would be a lot more rusty than I am. My only major issue is that I am forgetting to cover my rear break, let alone use it and instead I am only engine breaking and using the front.

Pretty sure something is ****ed in my cooling system. I was in traffic today, ambient temperature was like 55* and my bike was about seconds from over heating.

It's a brand new bike I'm sure it's under warranty. Take it in if it happens again.

Im going to drop it off monday. I'm sure its easy to fix but i'd rather not void my warranty playing around with stuff.

Don't demo a Ducati when you're not ready to purchase one. Damn that was a hot bike.

I was stuck in 0-25mph traffic for 3-4 miles but the ambient temp. was only 55* outside. No way it should creep up that fast.

I drained and flushed the system tonight and re-filled it with engine ice. We'll see what happens.
