Id also like to get into tire changing. Are there any non marring handheld tools out there? All I can really find on the topic is the larger tire changes like the larger expensive machines.

i just bought the no mar/ cycle hill big blue package. its still in the box, but im going to be mounting it in my garage soon. has the wheel balancer as well. i got 4 flat tires last season. bringing the rim to a dealer every time was way too expensive so thats why i decided to do it myself.

Any trackside tire vendor will do that. Shops up in wi did too. But down here you pay extra to buy tires from them. Then charge more to mount them even off the bike. Retarded.

Good point I guess they all do that here as well. But I got my new boots today and they are comfy as hell. World of difference over my old Alpinestars

68 and sunny today. Carved up 100 miles of twisties. Almost feel bad for all you snow bunnies. Almost.

There were tons of bikes out today. Rode the most popular route to ride in my state. Watched some guys take that road so fast it made my *** pucker just to see them do it. I consider myself to be moderately aggressive. But these guys were stupid crazy fast.

On the one hand, I really admire their riding skills. It's hard not to watch them and be impressed. But on the other, I have to question their judgment to ride like that on a very twisty, narrow, busy, public road with lots of blind curves, intersections, driveways.

I've been neglecting my bike. It's been warm enough to ride a few times this week, just haven't had the time and my driveway is like mudpit '13

Unless you get a machine, or are using thinner tires that use tubes, don't bother. The sidewalls on modern radials are so stuff putting that **** on by hand is a major pain in the ***. I did it once...that was enough.

yup. Lubricant/tire irons/rim savers/c-clamps. It's a *****. Buddy borrowed my stuff to give it a shot once. We both take our wheels to the shop now. I like to do as much work as possible on my own stuff, just not worth saving the $40 once or twice a year for the pain in the ***. If I were at the track frequently and changing tires multiple times a month I would seriously consider getting one of the no-mar setups.
