I know lots of you have sob stories about how hard you had it starting playing.. and how spoiled noobs are ect ...but honestly how has our way of life actually affected your life??? Lets get some good postes!!

Paintball was always the sport that had the best environment for me. I had done waterpolo and fencing, while being great sports themselves had a very nasty environment about them. Even though I kept them as sports, I did not enjoy them as much as I did paintball. Pball is just so versatile; it can be a social outing, a sport, and a competition all at the same time. The people in paintball are great too. So I guess paintball for me has always been my escape from the bs of other areas of life. Other things let me down, but paintball never did!

The sport has been able to help me continue my sobriety i fell on hard times years ago and put the sport on the backbunner and i became a drug addict alcoholic... through some friends family former team mates and ultimately god i got back into the sport once i had completed a few rehab visits (laugh and make fun all you want but addiction is a horrific disease) so in many ways the sport helped and continues to help not only meself but it also allows me to help youth stay clean and on the right track.

And for thoes who have sob stories id rather them be out of the sport we dont need negitive nancies on the field moaning about how they sent thiet life saveings on a game paintball does not create hardships or struggles ppl do saying paintball runied your life is like saying spoons make you fat.

^^^^^^Nice dude ..Its amazing if you stop and think about it just how importan pantball is to some ppl. Even tho its not publisized and glorified like baseball or football and even tho we dont get payed or honored for what we do there no way in hell that money friends girls or even drugs and alcohol is gonna stop us from gettin up at 5:00 driving 2:hrs to play our hearts out at a tourny and have some random kid walk up to you like your a god and ask you 50 ?s about ball..and you know deep down that you just got that kid jooked and pry helped his life just a little bit

Despite having my friends and family believing it to be a complete joke, paintball has actually made me more confident about myself, regardless of what people say. I've been forced to play soccer for as long as I can remember, and the atmosphere around paintball gave me the courage to tell my parents I was done partaking in something I didn't like.

Had I not paintballed back in 03-05 I would have taken a Union job at a cement plant and never worked at the indoor paintball field that lead me to where I am now including my awesome Wife.

Paintball changes it all indeed.

I grew up all my life wanting to play football. I never cared about anything else, just football. It didn't bother me when I realized I was awful at baseball, because hey, at least I still had football. I didn't mind when I realized I was a pitiful basketball player, because well... Football. So in 5th grade, when I finally got to play tackle football for the first time, I loved it! And I was good, for a while. I was an animal on defense. To this day, I still believe I'm probably the only player to ever start at middle linebacker on a junior high football team at 4'11", 93 pounds. But as I got older, the other guys kept bigger. Now, here I am, my sophomore season of football gone, and considering the fact that I'm now 5'6", 130 and run an embarrassing 40 yard dash, the dream of being the next Patrick Willis is pretty well crushed. When I first realized that after I got out of junior high, I would probably never be a starter again, my self confidence was pretty much crushed. I had already discovered paintball, and I turned to it to vent my frustrations. And to my surprise, I was good at it! For the first time in my life, I loved a sport and the sport loved me back. Long story short, paintball helped me to rebuild my self confidence and feel better about myself. It's like counseling with an adrenaline rush.
