Better backup mech-A5 or BT combat

I have a spyder RS as my main backup but also want a good reliable mech to use a loaner and backup when I want to slow down. I have both and I am probably going to sell one of them. Leaning towards keeping the BT combat.
I have a couple electronic hoppers I can put on the BT, thoughts?

The BT is basically the exact same as the Tippy 98...without the forgrip, and made with a removable grip frame. Uses A5/X7 threads, takes 98 stocks and can be made to look like anything.

You can use a hopper, a BT spring feed or a Rip Clip.

A5...slightly less rails... and already has the Cyclone feeder (No batteries)

Other than that they are effectively the same.

I would imagine you'd probably get a slightly higher resale value out of the A5.

Being quite similar it would come down to hopper availability. No point loaning a gun to a friend if they end up chopping all day from having to use an old non-motorized hopper. Even more so for your self. Heck I'd gladly play all day with an old plastic BE Marauder if I got to use at least a revi on it.

But you indicated that you have extra hoppers to use on it, so if you feel you got enough that you don't need a cyclone equipped gun waiting in the wings the BT may be the keeper.

Though really the best answer is keep whatever you like better. Everything else is irrelevant.

An Automag or Autococker would make an even better backup mech. (Except they would end up becoming your main gun, so...)

Guys, he's not asking what to "buy", he's asking which to "SELL".

All further "no, buy this instead" will be deleted.

Heh, this made my night! I love 'Cockers...

I would personally keep the A5. It may use a little more air, but again it has the Cyclone and can be beat all to crap and will still function. I have yet to have problems other than minor air leaks with my A5, which has been through quite a lot. It's easier to maintain the BT in my opinion (although I haven't owned a BT before, I have worked on quite a few through my dabbling in airsmithing) and it is a little more commonly upgradable (not that you'd want to other than a barrel...).
That's my two cents, and yeah, I'd have to agree with loneassassin that that an AutoCocker or Automag would be a perfect lender. If you have untrustworthy friends, however, don't get a 'Cocker. Too many complicated things to get messed up (as I learned...that thing still doesn't shoot right) if your friend doesn't know what he's doing.

keep the a-5 as when you loan it out you don't have to worry about it being broken by them or not working for them. (and if you ever wanted to do mag fed or make an awesome m249 SAW you could)

****. I are no read. I would put both of them up for sale and sell which ever one will get you the most cash, considering both guns are about the same.
