Pick a caliber first, 9mm and .45... Theres a solid difference. Go with something that comfortable, you' ll be the one drawing it if needed. Virtually every major company carries 9 and 45.

Not really. Just assume its loaded and safety check it, espcially at gun shows. Then prices may be stupid high, so google it or walk away if you think it is

I love gun shows, but you can easily get some uninformed people there.
My friend walked into a gun show with a M! garand on his back once, and practically had a swarm of people trying to buy it from him.
I gotta go to one again. Last time I went I couldn't legally buy a hand gun. Now i'm 26... Than again, If i did, I don't think I could stop myself from buying.

Aren't they over halfway through the season?
What are they actually arguing about? Is this simply about more money, or is it about comp for injuries, lie the NFL was?

Billy bad *** doesn't believe in a case for his m1? Lol
Or was that his everyday open carry option?

He's a very responsible gun owner. He went through a phase where he owned like 4 or 5 m1 garands, and decided he wanted to sell one of them. An open carry for that would be fantastic, though. (in a very childish, giddy way)
If you've never shot one, you need to. They kick like a mule, and the cartridge goes "TING!" and pops out when it's empty

Open carrying a m1 isn't farfetched. Appartnly 1911s are popular for that need. So let's get nostalgic and carry that beast.
Your attacker might be 1000 yards away

Just saw an accident. A 1980s caprice rolled away while It was park. Ran into a church bus at like 4mph. The caprice wasn't even in a parking spot. Why do we have a parking lot if no one uses it?

This reminds me I gotta re-adjust my ebrake. I forgot to lock-tite the nut and it doesn't work very well anymore.

Meh, we used to use the straight away behind the mall as a short drag strip. Lots of racing. We used bigger lots like home depot for donuts and those shenanigans.

Motor oil works well but ATF works better. It has better rust protection. Only down side is it smells a little. If you want gun specific oil then EWL is my first choice but for the cost of a small bottle of EWL you can buy a half gallon of ATF. Works amazing on semi autos. Not sure I'd put it on a rifle with a real pretty stock as I'm not sure if it would stain, but its my go to for everything else.
Here is a good read on gun lube:
