More than likely orings. Does it cycle at all?

It could be orings but when the solenoid on the g3 leaks it leaks down the barrel also along with through the grip could be other of ask if the solenoid clicks when it's off if it does most likely it's orings

most likely your stem oring or the breach internal oring (sits behind the feeneck, not actually on the bolt)

try those two orings first, dont mess with anything else yet.

Yes there is.

The one and only o-ring in the body of the G3......right behind the feedneck

OP, I agree with Foxx, it is likely the breach o-ring or the backcap stem o-ring. If the leak is coming out from the center of the bolt (place finger over the face and see if you feel air pressure building up), then it is the backcap stem o-ring. If it is from around the outside of the bolt, then it is the breach o-ring.

Even if it's the solenoid it's a plug and play fix. Unlike your ion that is soldered to the board.

Holy **** CA, I have 2 G3's right in front of me and I've never known there was an internal oring. Wow. That explains 2+ years of "leaks" I've had with my G3. I replaced the stem oring at least 20 times, and it still slightly leaks. Now that I look at the internal oring, I can see it's chewed up. That's crazy. Thanks for correcting me CA!

I retract my previous statement OP!

notice that there were two orings sealing that breech area. it's rare that a massive leak down the barrel would be cause by those two oring. if the breech oring leaks it would only leak due to dirt or lint is in the oring itself.

no you cannot. you need a g3 oring kit

xmc, the breach oring will cause a leak down the barrel when the bolt is at rest. usually a neglected gun will have bad wear and tear on that oring

i agree, but usually the stem oring will fix it. at least 80% of the leak down the barrel will cause it. but there are some cases here that the breech oring is the culprit.

It all depends on what sizes you are getting. Some MAY fit but others - like the backcap stem o-ring, is a unique metric size. I'm not familiar with what comes in a Shocker o-ring kit so I can't tell you for sure if any of them are compatable with the G3. The G3 has a mix of standard and metric sized o-rings.

That stem oring (as well as the middle sail oring) are 90 durometer, whereas all other orings are 70 durometer. iirc, the manual doesn't make this distinction. Don't assume 3rd party oring kits have the correct durometer.

with the air on and HPR at 200? then it could be the solenoid or the HPR it self. try to remove and back capand air it up to see if there is air going through the chamber. it be that your HPR is set too low.
