Were people really surprised by the Oregon/KSU game?

I was surprised by how lopsided it was, especially given that KState plays the type of ball known to beat Oregon. KState is definitely not the team we thought they were.

I know it won't come from you, but I can definitely see the comments regress into the same "it's just a gimmick!" talk about Oregon (just like it did this past year, even after beating Wisconsin). Their game hasn't changed much in four years, so any "gimmick" excuse is an extremely poor one.

If not that, then many will just claim that K-State just sucked (like they do with auburn, which came down to the wire).

It happens every year now.

but KSU isn't that good. they never looked all that impressive this year if you actually saw them play. they looked good against awful teams, nothing more


Klein also is not good either. its not hard to put up great numbers against the worst defensive conference in college football. everyone in the big 12 is overrated

Klein was a Heisman contender. Now he just sucks. I'm glad you disagree with Heisman voters, sportscasters, and college coaches across the country who voted for K-State each week this season.

ive said multiple times kstate was not good and klein was overrated as ****. teams get overrated all the time, i mean look at florida and ****ing LSU this year, OSU in 06, etc. is it really that hard of a concept to grasp? an undefeated team in a big conference when there are only 1 or 2 undefeated teams left is going to be at the top of the rankings, that is how it works.

and the heisman is such a ****ing farce now. i mean TEBOW won it and he is a god awful QB. Te'o was invited this year and he isnt even the best linebacker in the nation, let alone defensive player.





it looks like all those sports casters and heisman voters were completely wrong about that noodle arm ***** because he looked like **** against the best defense the has seen (which does not happen to be all that amazing)

When Tebow one there were so many people in here saying he was one of the top 5 college football players of all time and otherwise lapping up the bull**** ESPN was spoon feeding to them. Tebow was one of the most overrated players I have ever seen.

Here's the thing - they overhype and overrate everyone on purpose to try to get people to watch. For some reason they buy into the NBA theory that marketing a team is not good enough and you have to market an individual. Look at the ads for the BCS championship. Its always a picture of Manti Te'o and a picture of AJ McCarron. Does anyone actually think Alabama is about AJ ****ing McCarron? No. Its a team, AJ McCarron is just a piece, and definitely not the best piece. But for some reason they think they need to play on an individual. So they will tell you Tebow is one of the best college football players ever because he gets a lot of touchdowns? Bull****. Anyone can see 90% of his touchdowns are just dives from the 5 yard line or closer. The rest of the team was very good too. He was a good player and a good leader and all that, but top 5 all time? No ****ing way. Can't throw and is not really that fast or shifty. He's a straight ahead runner with a noodle arm. Same as Klein, only Tebow is better and played on a much much better team.

that team was good because of their defense and oline (MAINLY the defense). tebow was just there herping and derping behind a monster oline and feeding the ball to the freak that is percy harvin. **** if he was so good he would not have been splitting time with leak.
