MGO is close, but I'm not "HELP"

I just got my Twister back from Anodizing and I'm getting everything back together. There is a small hole right in front of the ASA. It is not threaded and the O-ring does not cover it. What is going on I can not think of anything that belongs there. Its blowing air big time.

Help me out my Tribe.

Thanks
Kocoum

thats normal, all tribals have those. Change the orings on your LPR adapter, one of them is leaking.

Christ, is right. The back oring on your LPR is probably nicked. If LPR adapter fits tight, the oring sometimes get damaged as you slide the adapter in.

That hole is a vent for the AOC (as stated by Warpedmephisto), and is needed for use with the AOC. You could plug it, but I wouldn't recommend because it also lets you know when your oring is torn.

If you have one of me262 hose-less LPR the hole needs to be plug. But if you have a stock AOC or one of have blue LPR adapter then it doesn’t. From looking at the picture his marker has the LPR adapter. If it leaking out that hole he has a bad 0-ring on the LPR adapter, as posted before.

I'll replace the LPR O-ring when I get home tonight. I'll let my brothers know how it turns out.

I'll post a picture of the finished anodized Marker tonight also. I want to get it pewter, but it turn out more purple to me. But for $50 it did come awesome.

Thanks again my brother Tribe

Well you guys you were right on the money. I put new O-rings on the LPR adapter and no leak. The only problem was i start to cycle the trigger and the wife walked in, tell me to tone it down. And all the sudden the whole asssy. comes flying out of the Marker. Not just the LPR, but the adapter, spring and the jammerhammer. It seems that after having the gun anodized that the adapter and the gun Threads do not match up any more. I missed my computer monitor by only inches. I'm so glad no one got hurt. I do believe I'm in I'm in the DOG HOUSE with the wife, just stormed off.(ohoh)

Well guys, it looks like I got a paper weight, as far as the Marker goes. The adapter I got will not get tight and I could not use it because I would be to worried that some Player would get hurt from it. The hole in my wall is proof enough.

Thanks
Kocoum

what input pressure were you running? Also, do you have the stock AOC cap? Them you could do the same ghetto mod I have as long as you get a rocket Valve. Also, you could try threadtape on the LPR adapter, that could help it hold tighter

High pressure regulator was set at 200psi and the low was set at 55psi. This is what I had on it before I got it anodized. It was working great, but for the small(I mean small Leak ) I had out of the adapter. I know that the tribal had problems in the past about QC. It looks like I got one that was cut a little to big.

Please believe me when I say. I have bought parts from Hav blue, and me262 for this marker and they are the best. But Please guys and I mean "Please" all you that work on markers (And I include my self) These could be very dangerous weapons. My heart has finally slowed down and I'm so GLAD I did not hurt anyone. But what happen to my wall will stay with me a long time. I have to say it scared me bad.

Thanks my tribe

like I said, try threadtape, or even loctite. just use blue and heat it to remove it. more that likely, when they stripped the old ano they either a) disformed the threads, or b) it's thinned than the original anno.

umm maybe try the tape and loctite, but put it in a safe place, like a titanium case or kansas's house ( a padded cell) then air it up and let it sit for 24 hours, just to be safe.

No its not a paperweight yet. I order some Loctite Form-a-thread. The specs say it can take up to 900 psi once it is fully harden. And I going to drill and tap to add a set screw to ensure that it will not fly out. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Thanks
