I think it's an awesome gun if you don't mind the feel. I have been using mine for 11 months now without a complaint. Never once has it gone down and it shoots so smooth and quiet. However, if you don't like the feel you should definitely look at another gun. To give you an idea, I got rid of my Ego11 before my Axe.

I have never tried it with the extender. A lot of people in California prefer a longer set up. I don't like short or long set ups. I prefer them at a medium length.
