Congratulations, you made a good purchase. I'm new to paintball and new to the Etha as well. I have read all that I can about the Ethas and this is what I've learned:
PE is a great company to purchase from, being new-there arent a lot of upgrades yet, and there isnt a whole lot to change. Just go out and play!!!
Good luck and enjoy,
Steve

Be sure and register your Etha with PE's Warranty Center
https://warranty.planeteclipse.com/site/signin
Then go have fun putting paint through your Etha. Get to know the marker before you're changes/upgrades to it.

If it feels crappy at first, which it will It will feel like a toy, then keep shooting paint and once you break it in it will be as good as an etek.

I cant really think of anything that important to change. Its a good beginner/mid level marker. The only thing I would change if i really wanted to (no need to really) is the barrel. The bore is a .693 and thats huge! paintballs are getting smaller not bigger. Get anywhere from a .685 to a .689. I guess they put a big bore on this barrel so it can shoot all sizes of paint and they think people who have the etha are not "tournament players" so they wont be shooting perfect paint. A big bore causes less efficiency and is louder than a smaller bore, but not that bad.

make sure your etha is the updated model, without the poppet spring, i just bought a new one, and it was the old style. if it is the old style, contact PE and they will set you up with the update.

Like mentioned before: Register your Etha ASAP, for warranty or updates from eclipse. The only thing I MIGHT change on my Etha is the trigger.
Most important, Put lots of paint through that gun!

Make sure it came with the springless poppet kit. If not, register your Etha with PE (if you haven't already) and then contact them for the springless poppet.
