Reflex rail problem
I have a leak coming out of my selanoid for my 2012 proto reflex rail. I'm not sure how to fix it? Any ideas?

What's the gun chronoing at? Leaky solenoid is usually a result of a dying battery or too much pressure to the noid and its bleeding off.

Nope, leave it chrono'd at 280.
Change the #015 bolt sail oring, and the outside can orings #020
report back.

Have you replaced the battery? Mine would leak only with the gun on and it was a bad battery. If you want to be sure it's the 'noid separate the frame from the body and air the gun up. You should be able to hear it loud and clear.
If it's from the 'noid I have had good luck dialing back the reg pressure, then turning it back up to hit 280 fps. Probably time I service my reg.

You may just need a new solenoid

Yea, may need a new solenoid then. You have aired the gun up with the frame off and actually heard it coming from the solenoid? There are some screws that could be loose on the body that would let air through and make it seem like it's the solenoid unless you pinpoint it w\ the frame off.

One last thing you could check is to see what kind of pressure your reg is putting out. The reg could be putting out slightly more pressure than it's designed for and it's bleeding off the excess. Have you tried turning the regulator ALL the way back so the gun barely gets any pressure and seeing if it continues to leak? If it doesn't, start slowly cranking it up, take 5-10 shots, chrono, and see where it starts leaking (if it does). If it's leaking with even a little bit of pressure going through then it's probably just a bad solenoid.

Out of the woods now!
|
My reflex was doing the same thing. Took it to the shop and got it back and they changed the orings, lubed and rebuilt the hpr and put the stock bolt back in and said everything was great and shooting well. Got to the field this past weekend for the first time back with the marker and it was cronoing at 250. Turned it up to 265 and it started to leak again, couldn't get it to the field allowed speed of 285 without blowing lots of air. So played all day at 265 and would turn my air on right when the match was about to start. So need to take it back and see what they say now.

My tech says it could be a few factors
~weather (was 36-42 degrees this past weekend, marker was tuned in warmer weather)
~battery (used new one so i rule this out)
~all new orings on bolt so needs break-in time
~too low of a dwell for the weather
I didnt up the dwell but I did use a new battery. I believe it was mostly due to the weather and being a spoolie, the cold weather seems to affect them more.
Although the second reflex I had with me didn't leak.
