egg 4 broken feedneck help

So I have a VL evlution 4 loader and the feedneck snapped off and kee apparently offers no replacement parts for these loaders so to not have it sit here and be a paperweight I need to bond it back together. Anybody got any tips on what to use for the job to make it nice and strong?

My plan is to drill 3 holes in each piece and insert whatever the recommended epoxy is and some cut down screws and bond it back together I just dont know what type of plastic VL uses for these or what type of epoxy to use.

How closely does the ID match to paintballs? If there is some room I would consider also inserting a sleeve. Adhesives work better on lap joints than they do on butt joints.

Get a plastic bonding adhesive/epoxy for sure. The plastics are probably either ABS and/or Polycarbonate.

What does the in hopper portion of the feed neck look like?

I was thinking of trying a lap joint of sort but on the outside rather than inside.

I still use a View Loader Revolution. It used to have the TurboRevy board until that burned out stock board replacement burned out, at which point I replaced it with another stock board. You use what works. I like it because it is one of the lighter agitating hoppers out there.

What happens if you remove the pictured screw? Is there a larger element that can be replaced or rebuilt? let me tell you, the thing broke once, glue isn't going to do much better of a job.

The egg 1/2/3 were a whole different animal compared to the egg 4. The egg 4 is very easy to take apart.

I dont think PVC will do the job unless your talking about as a material for a lap joint.

The part of the neck that broke is also part of the raceway that screw connects the raceway/feedneck to the black outer shell.

Same thing happened to me, and the break in the neck looks exactly the same! There's also a crack in mine that i found when i took it apart, that runs up into paint tray on the inside. If you have something similar then you might need a plan to provide additional stabilization at the joint. Hope you find a good solution (or inspire the sale of replacement parts)!

A few Dowel pins and and plastic epoxy is your best bet.... if you object to an insert or sleeve idea

*that is a s*itty place for a hopper to break
