Arrow Pump marker?

Hey PbNation, I know there are so many threads asking which marker to buy, but I would like you to give me your opinion on these. I was thinking of getting a used phantom, or used ccm t2. I'm looking to spend not a crazy amount but not too cheap. Any suggestions on which to get?

Thanks in advance,

If youre willing to drop the cash, a used ccm gun is well worth it.

Phantoms are also good guns, but I would still get a ccm, you can get horizontal feeds for then and run them on 10 rnd tubes (modified stock class). So unless you really want to run 12g, id go for a ccm.

On a side note, if this is your first pump gun you should be hesitant to sink hundreds of dollars into something you may not like. You can pick up converter cockers for much much less and "test the waters" but, if youre sure pump is for you, I wouldnt hesitate for a second to buy a ccm.

Yeah, thats what I'm worried about; it will be my first pump marker. I was just thinking now that maybe a trracer would be better for me since I'm not really that familiar with the more advanced markers such as the ccm or a converted auto cocker. (I heard that the trracer is pretty good for a first pump, but correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks for the help

It honestly all depends on what's comfortable. I'm much more comfy with "sniper" styled pumps like converted Autocockers and CCM's but others are better off with Phantoms or Trracers. And Converted AC's really aren't that advanced honestly, the biggest thing would be to "sweetspot", which you can find tutorials for in the stickys. (all you need is allen keys and some chrono time, really). Hope I helped out a bit!

build an autococker

to me if i just go buy a gun it doesnt feel like its mine. If you build your pump and pick out the parts then it really feels like my gun. Plus it would be one of a kind. My suggustion get a sliderframe, an oracle body, cp reg, macro kit, and a cp directmount on/off. Oh yea and a cp pump kit. If you get this stuff used then it might be cheaper or at the same price as a used t2.

Except that he would still need to acquire a proper barrel kit if he doesn't already have one.

One thing to consider for a new pumper is the potential resale fnthenequipment if you do not end up enjoying pump and keeping the gear. Used CCM and CCI equipment maintains a very reasonable resale value due to availability and quality.
