Axe Board Confusion...

Just bought a used Axe with an Optimus board. I need to be able to change my firing modes on the field and breaking into my front grip in the dirt is not optimal. I understand circuit boards but I'm having trouble seeing through the marketing garbage on all my aftermarket options. Redline, Ape, 7th element, shockwave, and virtue...jesus.
Features I want -
- Easy external control
- Full external firing mode and bps control
- Ability to fully tune for lower psi operation

Thats it. OLED screens are nice but I'm not sold on the price. I need somebody who understands my options better than I do. Thanks for viewing and I look forward to your responses.

try a shockwave. i have one in my mini and it makes it so much easier. you can do everything with the power button and trigger. and they are cheap! hope this helps.

I'd second a Shockwave too. It's very cheap and great performance. The board doesn't seem to have as good as "bounce logic" as the 7th Element, but that can be fixed with upping the debounce. A few people here have also said their Shockwave boards were messed up when purchased brand new, but Empire replaced them for free.

I've also used the 7th Element LED board. It's decent, but their customer service is lacking. There is also come confusion as to what the lowest dwell setting is on the board. The manual says it can only go down to 5ms but I think it actually started at one, as my marker would not cycle with 1 flash when it should with the Boss bolt. Their battery cables are also soldered on instead of using a molex connector like the Shockwave. The power came detached from my board while changing the battery one day and had to me soldered back on.

Just don't spend a massive amount of cash on a Virture/Tadao board. They aren't worth the extra $60.

You don't have to buy the Boss bolt to make a Blurker. The Lurker now comes with a shock absorber oring that serves the same purpose as Boss's shock absorber. If you want the Boss shock absorber, he sells it separately for way less than his bolt.

Absolutely a nice guy and quality products. I had a Piranha about 5 years ago that I built with his parts for a friend. I think it operated at less 300psi, I know I was low enough to use an Angel mini-reg on it. He still uses it (although the Angel reg is gone now).

Same here, sent them a message saying my optimus board was messing up (which it was) and they sent me the shockwave, pretty fast shipping too might I add
