Yeah, I'd say try again and work it with kindness. CS people get yelled at all day long by people who are upset, or have a sense of entitlement, or feel like being a dick will get them further because it's the CS rep's job to make the customer happy. I've found that reps are much more willing to help people that are kind and appreciative over the phone as it makes their day a little more pleasant.
I took that approach in Jan and got them to swap out my GNex for an S3.
