Same here. There needs to be a warning label on this thread as I still haven't stopped and it's been a minute or two.

Thanks for all the complements guys. As you can tell, I've enjoyed building and collecting these over the years. I've started to update this thread, but there's still a few missing, and a few projects that I need to complete.

I play mostly at Blitz, although I only get out a handful of times a year lately. I've also stopped by APC and went out with Tunka a few times, but there hasn't been much activity there this year. The cockers tend to come out later in the day when I want to go through my remaining paint a bit slower, or play with the non tourney crowd.

After years of hunting, I just received a Black Widow autococker. The collection now includes one of every platform AKA ever produced (even those they didn't release). This is truly a piece of paintball history and one of the rarest and hardest to find guns out there.

That's the only time I've ever even seen a picture of one (that Black Widow cocker). That's incredibly rare for those who don't know anything about 'cockers---I would guess more so than any other marker he posted up there, Evil Ms included. Where, if you don't mind me asking, where you able to find that puppy? By the way, love the collection, and the prototype M is just awesome.

Sheer numbers wise, the HL Excal (8) and 03 PBX Excal (2-3) are rarer than legitimate black widows (not counting all the knockoffs floating around).

In any case, you really never see the above three for sale publicly. So, very nice, Bryan!

I'm guessing this old thread contains the same Widow.

I thought there were only 6 out there total? Could easily be off on that. Either way, incredibly hard to find and very, very good to see one in the hands of someone who would truly appreciate it! Good on you!

IIRC, there were 6 completes and 5 extra body kits.

Anyways, ditto. Glad this one's in good hands!

Whenever I run across these threads in the curators corner with the old autocockers, aka guns, matrix's (pre-04), classic Timmy's and shockers I can't help but feel that the world moved on past something very great in paintball...the new guns just don't give me that same vibe. Very beautiful collection!

Yes, that is the same one. I called about it when that was first posted, but at the time wasn't able to afford the price tag. I tried calling earlier this year to purchase it only to find out the store had been shut down and the owner whom I had talked to a few years ago had also changed his phone number. I really owe Rodney Martin (tron55), who used to work at the store, a huge thanks as he was able to track down the owner of the gun, and the former owner of the store who still had it in his possession and make this deal happen. I'm leaving out quite a few details, but this acquisition took quite some time and a lot of work and I really owe Rodney a huge thanks .

There were 11 bodies made. The first five were never released, and six were sold publicly, this being the last. #0000 is still in Aaron's possession, #0001 said have been used by AKA for testing regulators. I've asked Eileen and Larry about the other four numerous times, but they have never been able to give me any information.

As far as rarity, these may have higher numbers than some of the other AKAs or Cockers, but this was by far the hardest to find. I'm just happy to finally own one; it's been my unicorn for quite some time.

I agree. I won't get into a rant about the golden days of paintball, but owning these really brings me back.

Wait what about the V3 that Wolf has? You're missing that platform. I reckon it's probably the rarest too.

That would fall under the Merlin platform, which I have several. I have a long ways to go if I were to try and own one of each body style and various setups.
