There are somewhere around 50 firearms in my home and yet no gun crime has occurred. You present a very weak argument and you still do not recognize the legitimacy of the Second Amendment.
His argument is simply that a reduction in gun availability will reduce gun violence. He isn't concerned with lowering all other violence, only the use of tools, in this case guns, that are used in violent acts. I'm sure he's interested in lowering all violence but I don't think that is his goal here.
You are concerned with violence in total, fatal or not. It's painful to watch you two argue past each other. LtK is presenting a reasonable position to achieve his goals, goals that neither you or I agree with because we are both more concerned with violent(malicious) acts.
