I don't think a mentally stable person is capable of slaughtering innocent people.

What is mental instability? A mere deviation from the status quo?

So you want to ban "assault weapons" and "high capacity" magazines? Ok.

No government agency should have them either then.

Think for before you post...

Yeah it's called American 7th fleet armed with nuclear submarines, a marine base, aircraft carriers, and roughly 40,000 combined marine and navy personnel.

The reason the Japanese don't have guns is because Americans do. Same reason Japan doesn't have a standing army or navy is again the Americans do.

If you want to take away the guns from Americans, maybe you should solve the problems so we don't need them. Food for thought much?

Don't get too smart there, Japan has a large military with plenty of guns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Self-Defense_Forces

You keep comparing us to Japan. How many A-bombs have been dropped on the US?

Close to 1,000 nuclear weapons have been detonated over US territory or in areas the US accepts responsibility for. My state in particular is dealing with huge social costs from the latter.

Here's the view of one of them:

That question has no relevance to anything though.

No detonation has been done in Hawaii itself. They have been done in New Mexico, Nevada, Alaska, Mississipi and Colorado. Accidents with weapons released nuclear materials in New Jersey, Georgia and North Carolina.

We will always have the Constitution reminding us of the personal freedoms of the past at least. Your local rabid power grabbing Home Owner's Association will eventually take full control of the United States and the Constitution will be just another historic document.

No immigrants
No massive influx of drugs
No racial diversity
Much more invasive police and government
Social culture that requires people to be held accountable
Until the past couple years, incredibly low rates of those of working age on welfare (intersting, they've had a 400% increase in murders the last two years)

Czech Republic has very sensible gun laws and minimal restrictions, yet is towards the bottom in gun related homicides in all of Europe.
