I don't see your point.

Rape doesn't carry a death penalty either.

You have to remember that Gonzo represents this ideology:

Did anyone hear about the shooting in CA at a high school today? I didn't come across it until now. I know few details but heard a shotgun was used.

Seeing that what happened, an armed robbery, by definition requires a person to be threatened, that would be false. Aside from the incorrectly drawn conclusion, the point is that the presence of a legally owned firearm stopped a robbery and potentially saved the life of an innocent civilian. Had the outrageous knee-jerk firearm bans been in place the store would be robbed and an innocent grandmother could be dead. Instead, no "net" crime has been committed and responsible gun ownership has been proven essential to the safety of law abiding citizens.

So apparently CT wants to limit us to 1 round? So what happens if there are 3 people that break into ones home?

Then you'd have to wait until they line up so you can shoot through them with your one bullet.

I enjoy helping people. I enjoy learning about law. I enjoy the deployments. But I am looking to get back into an operator slot. However, I am recovering from shoulder surgery so it will be another year.

I have been in some sticky situations. I have come to a good appreciation for life. I agree that it seems like much to have a well equipped police force, but even if one bad guy has a small arsenal I think police should be trained and equipped no matter where or when.

I hate talking about me. I just like serving my country and the people in it. I put others before myself which is why I don't mind and occasionally enjoy my job

EDIT: I'm sorry you think you won't need the police and I hope you never have to... but believing in them is the first step to helping them help others.
AF Security Forces, all of a sudden your masturbatory bull**** about cops kicking in the door with MP5s and multiple shooter threats makes total sense.

You are the problem, the attitude that every call is the North Hollywood shootout is the problem, people in law enforcement positions having fetishistic obsessions with responding to tactical situations which they will never see and acting like wannabe action heroes/ Delta force is the problem.

Not everybody dies when they get shot derp. I don't see the point of your post, unless it's the false assumption that shotgun pellets don't kill people and only "assault" rifle bullets do. Clearly that's what you're saying right?

I think that this is the main reason why the homicide rate has gone down the last few years. Medical technology has improved to the point where even five years ago, a gun shot victim might have died but, today, he survives.

For the information of all, the mortality rate for gunshot injuries is one in seven. Pretty low.

Like I said, modern medicine. See it on the battlefield all the time. Ten years ago, getting your legs blown off was a death sentence. Now? Dudes are running marathons a couple years after with spring legs.

Violent crime rate still includes those who live from attacks. It has been on a decline for decades.
