The SAs are a lot more musical than I expected. The whole thing sounds pretty good. Also the SAs are surprisingly loud for a couple of 8" woofers.

****. I used to know how to do it with a DMM. Kind of the same way the SMD CC1 does. Something to do with how the signal voltage will drop a certain amount when you hit that point.

Yeah if you have a multimeter you can just see when the voltage goes down by half at any particular point and that should be real close to your -3dB point.

But I meant like where I should put the points. I don't have any numbers to use or anything.

Also I have a super annoying buzzing noise coming from my door near my speaker. I don't think the speaker itself is making the noise though. This isn't gonna be fun to trace.

Sundown SA12 = exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again Supra.

My car ****ing breathes...I can't believe such a lowend sub with so little power (1000rms) could do so much. It sounds great too.

Now to get my new wires in so I could push it a bit harder. Gain is WAY down, maybe 1/3 of the way up.

CXS62v2.

But I think the reason I'm having so much trouble is because this crossover doesn't bandpass the mids. I thought it would be okay but it's not good enough. Gonna exchange it for one I found from audiopipe that has bandpass for the mids. It's also third order rather than second.

Also I fixed the buzzing. Part of the area my grills mount to was making contact with the cone. Easy fix.

Yeah, you gotta bandpass your mids.
And Depending on how low those tweeters like to go, use 2500hz as a starting point and move around from there til you find a sweet spot, and lowpass your mid wherever your tweeter starts, I'm not a fan of overlapping the mid/tweeter frequencies.

I don't understand why all these crossovers I'm seeing don't bandpass the mids. Seems pointless unless you only have one set of RCA outputs but wanna run multiple amps...

Anyway, I sent the HFXR back. They said they'll refund it no problem. Unless anyone has any better suggestions for around $70, I'm probably going to be getting an Audiopipe XV4BXP. http://www.3kings.com/p-5576-audiopi...crossover.aspx

So from what I looked up, I'm getting mixed results. Would I be better off running a second battery, or would upgrading the main be sufficient?

There used to be a Lanzar piece that had multiple band pass outputs. I read goo reviews but never bought it because idk about Lanzar. But you might look into it.

Unless you have over 1krms, get a just good front battery.

Subwoofer amp alone is 1200rms.

Might want to consider upgrading front and getting something for the rear. I run a D3400 up front and a D975 in the rear.

Always get a good front battery before even thinking of adding a 2nd one.

KnuKonceptz makes great wires. I'm still amazed that I paid $50 for a 4awg kit, and kit that's higher quality than the $300 kicker kit at best buy. Haha.

You can usually find hyperflex stupid cheap on eBay.

Hyperflex owns all other wire, besides in price.

I picked it up on amazon since I had a gift card. Shipping took 2 days

I really like the coax cables with the remote wire built in. Neat

It's got the remote wire wound with it in the middle, that's why it looks so spaced out.
