I wanted to compare the sound signature and FPS readings from all of the BLAST bolts for the G6R. I have no interest in the techt bolt for the G6R so please don't ask me to do the same with it. Only thing I realized after I made this, the FPS readings might not be too accurate since the gun was only getting colder as the test progressed.
The gun has the LP Poppet, Zero Ping Ram, and VP trigger installed. It was pressure tested properly. The paint was GI Basic Training, and bore matched at .686.
I believe the idea is you can run a lower lpr setting before you get inconsistent shots, not really to increase fps much. The heavier premium pillow hits the valve with more mass and thus requires less ram acceleration to open the valve. As others have said to really notice a difference, you need to re-sweet spot your regs with the new premium bolt and then compare your settings. It is still not an enormous difference however combined with the lp poppit you have a pretty significant drop in both hpr and lpr pressures over the stock configuration.
This is different than say the Hush bolt which is simply trying to improve on how efficient the air transfers to the ball for increased fps.
I did a test on a customers gun tonight. Same pressures. 70 LPR / 187 HPR
He had the Vice pillow bolt in his G6R and the LP poppit - 295-290-286
I then swapped a premium bolt from my dragon - 298-300-304
It does make a difference if you know how to tune your gun appropriately. Been singing the same song since it was released, and you guys still don't buy into it. LOL

If it doesn't, we'll just assume you don't know how to tune the gun.
