The Namek and Cell sagas are the best. Buu ****ing sucked. GT really ****ing sucked. The Saiyan saga was cool but once Goku went Super Saiyan, everything else just wasn't that cool in comparison.

Much more too it than just a basic grinder. Waterjet, basic grind, heat treat, finish grind, finish, sharpen. Then you have to worry about handles, the folding mechanism, and/or a sheath. Or you can just buy a quality knife that doesn't depreciate. I can get what I paid for for all of my knives and some of them have gone up in value considerably. I have a DVD of Emerson's shop which goes through the processes step by step. Crazy how intricate some of the things are.

I've made knives and done blacksmithing. I just didnt want to type that out. And there is nothing basic about those grinders.

I want another Emerson so bad but that ZT just captured me.

I would probably go to buy an Emerson right now and walk out with a Microtech...

I would love to see these knives. Good knives aren't made by blacksmiths.

$200+ - I'd look at the Microtech line. Some Benchmades in that range as well that are amazing value.

You can't really go wrong with anything made by Spyderco, Zero Tolerance, Benchmade, Microtech. I'm not the biggest Spyderco fan but the Military line is nice, the new Manix is sweet as well.

If you pick something and have any questions just ask
The Spyderco website is ugly and disorganized so I'm not even bothering with them right now. The ZT 350 and 200 are catching my eye, though from what I've researched, the 350 is made from a higher quality steel, so I would go with that. The Microtech's are out of my price range right now, but the Benchmade Black Class has a few that are piquing my interest, so I'm looking through a few of those right now.

The ability to make something by hand is a value that never depreciates.

You can forge a solid knife from it, saw a cleaver that was immaculate from the guy who taught me. Even then, I was just saying I've done a lot of that style of metal work. I used bar steel, just some 1095. You dont need water jets and ****, thats just to save time. You really just need a nice grinder and saw for the handle. If you can't appreciate the craftsmanship and ability to make yourself the perfect knife to your taste in terms of any variable you can manage, then just buy one.

I'd rather just buy the perfect knife. Plenty of excellent knife makers out there with a wide range of knives. Hardest part is finding them in stock. If I find something I like better, I can then sell it for what I paid and buy a new one.

Seriously, once you have your equipment, it takes like...under 10 bucks to make a knife. I realize you are just a ***** who hunts with a shotgun, but I like my **** custom. Fits my hand perfect, perfect blade shape etc. Nevermind sharpening to a ghost edge.

S30v is pretty top notch steel. Not the best but definitely up there. I love mine, I'll snap some pretty pictures in a bit. The only drawback I've seen so far in my 350 is the weight.

Benchmade Black class is their working group class. Just solid, dependable blades.

I was just looking and you can get Damascus stock and cocobllo for like 20 bucks.

So, really all I'd need is a grinder. I have a nice file set and a nice micrometer set. I have a pretty extensive machining knowledge so the basic know how is there. I would just have to apply it through a book or something.

The 350 is 5.6oz, which is lighter than most of the others I'm looking at right now.

A solid, dependable blade is what I'm looking for right now. I just want something higher quality. What I have right now is alright, and gets the job done, but is made from a not-very-good steel (440A) and is made in China:

http://www.kevinscatalog.com/Ruko-Sh...tinfo/53-0142/

The one good thing I like about this knife is the thumb blade lock. I like knowing my **** isn't going to open up in my pocket, and I like the location of it.

If I had more money, I would probably get the 300, but the 350 is right in my price range and seems just fine for me.

The Benchmade 275 Adamas is interesting me right now, too.
