this is a great idea if you want to see our country to get thrusted into the 3rd world over night. that would be impossible to afford for a nation our size.

The point is they would hopefully stop being dickheads and learn some things besides being a little spoiled soiled *****. I don't see how this would make us a 3rd world country. I think it would produce better members of society because values that parenting nowadays fails to instill would be.

The thing people don't realize about gun violence in this country is that we have a proliferation of military style weapons and a population of over 300 million people. Percentage-wise, you're going to run into trouble. And with our population expected to see much greater growth over the next half-century, it's pretty easy to see that our current gun policies are unsustainable.

"Gun control" is a process that could take decades. No single piece of legislation will fix everything. However, rationally-speaking, our current gun policies aren't working, evidenced by the multiple instances of mass shootings in just this year alone. I'd be in favor of government-mandated buy-back programs on military style weapons; whatever it takes to drastically reduce the amount of assault rifles floating around in this country.
No.

I'm in favor of going to where there is a government mandated buyback of military style assault weapons and offering slightly more than the government.

The overwhelming majority of guns used in crimes are obtained illegally. Work on fixing the loopholes and enforcement of our current gun laws before changing them.

No.
I think a policy like this would be profoundly detrimental to our country's production of innovaters and entrepreneurs.

And who says gun control isnt working? 88 guns for every 100 people and only 3 gun related homicides per 100,000 people which is a better ratio than most countries can boast.

I'm looking for something fairly high quality. $100-$200 is my probable range, but I can fudge that a little bit.

2-3 years service then leading into heavily subsidized or free education, from university to technical. Not lifetime. I really think what we would get out of it versus what we lose is heavily slated towards gain. Just in NG type units unless you wanted something else. It would also provide a common american experience which is something this country 1000% lacks now.

Maybe not quite out of high school (if somebody has the potential to go to medical school, then I think they should become a doctor first, as the military needs doctors, too), but I believe everybody regardless of gender should have to serve. It doesn't even have to be a full contract; hell, a two year contract would suffice.

Do you even know what a "military style weapon" is? Have you ever shot a "military style weapon"?

In school suspension at my school was very entertaining. It was a room full of all the black kids who didn't give a **** and most were hilarious.

Sub $100 - Spyderco Manix2
$100-$150 - I'm really digging my Zero Tolerance 0350 I would also look at Benchmade Griptilians
$200+ - I'd look at the Microtech line. Some Benchmades in that range as well that are amazing value.

You can't really go wrong with anything made by Spyderco, Zero Tolerance, Benchmade, Microtech. I'm not the biggest Spyderco fan but the Military line is nice, the new Manix is sweet as well.

If you pick something and have any questions just ask

Once you spend so much on knives, you may as well get a grinder and start making them yourself.

Guns aren't involved in any murders so I don't see why we would ban them.

Dude that ****ing happened to me but with a keychain. a kid tapped me on the shoulder and hit me in the face with a keychain tied to the end of some string and busted my chin open. his reason was "he thought it would be funny." he definitely was not laughing after i beat his ***. i actually got a longer suspension than him because i hit him multiple times in the face and he was wearing glasses...****ing bull****

No.
it shouldnt have said it would make us a 3rd world country over night but it certainly would do nothing but hurt our current economic situation. having a standing military multiple millions strong would be ungodly expensive.

most of my friends are in or have served and i can honestly say almost every single one that went in as an enlisted man is an unmitigated pile of **** now just like they were before they went in. unless you actually lead men i would say military experience is overrated

I would LOVE to do that but I don't have a garage or building or anything. I'd have to make them in my room and I'm pretty that would NOT be okay lol

My dad has talked about getting a building in the spring. Assuming he does, any advice on where to start?
