I'm bored and this place is dead, so I thought I'd start something up while there's still time to make wishes come true.

I personally thought last season was great! It can always be better, but given the state of paintball these days, I'd say they stopped the yearly decline and even started to progress a bit. The TOC prizes were awesome and I was pretty surprised that they could pull off so many high end items. The all star game was a hit and well timed. I only play pump these days, so I was glad to see it return (thanks DC and GLK for making so many events, without you guys some events would have probably been cancelled). The occasional Top gun was fun too. And as usual, the price point was very reasonable.

What would you like to see in the CFOA for 2013?

My wishes:
-More events timed with local field scenario games to increase exposure. Black River had some kind of big game going on at the same time as the CFOA this year and it seemed to peak some recballers curiosity.
-More "extra" activities at events. The top gun seemed like it went well and was easy to run, maybe hold a few more of them. Have 5 and offer the winners a spot on a 3rd all star team. Something like that.
-More of the same as this year.
-An open division.
-Bring back yellow!!!!!!!!!!

95% of the events were in NC, I think maybe 2 were in the SC?

How about picking one color for paint and sticking with it. Orange or yellow, I don't care, but not both.

If I remember correctly, technically there were only two in NC: Gboro and Tabor City. Although, Rock Hill is every bit as convenient as Tabor City if not more so.

I can't think of many NC fields to begin with that are capable of running multiple airball fields. That doesn't mean there aren't any but the only field that I am familiar with that is capable of running multiple airball fields in NC is ABP and that's just barely in NC.

I agree with the color statement, Im not gonna lie im biased, my favorite color is orange, but legalize one of the colors! There are tooo many yellow/ orange guns for it be illegal for both.

I would like to see the pump division continue into the 2013 season. However maybe reduce the number of events the pump division is offered at in hope that it would increase the turn-out at those events that did have pump.

Also I don't care which state host more events (NC or SC) but clarification on the color rule would be nice.

Ahhh I forget that pbc charlotte is really in rockhill sc.

- Competition to increase
- CFOA to become a recognized PSP sponsor
- Allstar to return and grow

TL;DR: CFOA and all its divisions return and grow.

Open 3 man failed when it was tried I believe. May be wrong and it was D4 instead.

The colors are safe colors for a reason. Unless you all want to agree to shoot only blue paint or green paint or pink paint or some other random color, those are staying protected colors to make referees lives liveable. Imagine trying to ref a game where all the players are wearing neon yellow/orange shirts and shooting neon yellow and orange paint.

Most the events were central to the SC/NC border. I believe we had 8 events, out of those eight, at least three were in NC and four were at the border of SC and NC, about twenty five minutes from charlotte. I'm not sure what more you could really ask for? How many fields in NC are able to host the tournaments with reasonable accomodations?

Black River barely had nets up. The parking lot was a live zone and referees were standing with their back in the nets and still only about two feet off the snake side of the field. There were metal rings in the ground, wooden 4x4s, the fields were crooked, etc.

Greensboro only has one airball field and a lot of people complain about playing on hyperball.

Adventure Beach Paintball is one of the better fields in NC as far as the capacity to host CFOA. Afterall, that is what it was built to do.

How many more fields are there in NC that are able to host two full size fields (minimal), have hotels within a reasonable drive, not take EVERYONE 9 hours to drive to, and have enough room onsite for parking, staging, CFOA trailer, etc? The fields being used are the ones available. I know that CFOA is always looking for another field to use though. If your home field is interested, get them to email Brian ASAP and get working on it before the schedule is posted.

Technically, PBC Rockhill is in SC I believe, so most were indeed within the SC state lines.

Hard to control the paint colors outside teams are bringing with them. CFOA could go all one way, but there is no guarantee that teams bringing their own paint will have only that color and I know CFOA doesn't want to go FPO, keeping enough paint on hand would become a nightmare.

I'm just saying if we stick to one color, the CFOA would sell that particular color, and teams bringing their own paint will be responsible for bringing paint with that color fill. If we are a PSP affiliated league, why not just use yellow filled paint?

lol, hey I thought this was a "wish" list... not a "suggestion" thread. I was making personal wishes for personal reasons... I like playing open 3 man, I live in North N.C. so naturally I wish more events were closer to me. And my old team colors were yellow, so I wish I could wear my old jerseys... none of these wishes do I expect to come true and I understand why.... but hey, a player can wish can't he? lol... anyways, Merry Christmas to all. As someone who is thinking about getting back into tournaments after being on hiatus for years, I hope it stays. It used to be pretty much all hyperball, and it was really fun.
