this was in my home town, which is already known as a complete hick-town, this is the icing on the cake, kid in the chevy was talking mad **** all night, fight ensued after they got out and the cummins had to pay for all damages to the parking lot/panda express landscaping.

It came up on competitiondiesel.com that the chevy guy or somebody with him pulled a gun? Any truth to that?

Yes, nothing out of the ordinary for this town though, the chevy blew up in the process and the kid dissapeared for like 18 hours, some big diesel magazine is doing a story on the cummins

Well no **** the chevy blew up. When you keep pulling on something with brakes on that happens.

Still would have beat the kid with the dodge within inches of his life. If someone did that to me I would.

Reminds me of the last time I got black smoked while my windows were down....

No because the fastest car on paper doesn't win every time? in a tug of war the vehicle with the advantage always wins, or the chain/rope that isn't rated to handle that type of tensional load is snapped and maims half the on lookers.

I expected a little more of you pete old boy.

No the truck that should win doesn't always win, the truck with the driver who understands how these pull-offs work wins. I also think Pete was keying in on how you commented on the "senseless wear and tear". I was thinking that anyways but Pete beat me to it.

pulling a truck backwards with its drive wheels spinning in the wrong direction absolutely puts way more wear and tear on it than something built to drag race.

you can't build an engine to take that.

Your still missing my point... drag racing can be just as senseless(not that I think that). Its all a matter of opinion.

No i see what you're trying to get at, but your logic is flawed.

Okay, yeah nobody has ever thought drag racing was pointless and caused senseless wear and tear on a vehicle....

I'm not going to argue anymore with you about opinions...

The wear and tear caused by racing with a properly built vehicle is nothing like the wear and tear that "Tug-o-War" causes on any vehicle no mater how they are built, sorry but it is true.

Only tug of war worth watching/competing in.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a picture of the actual tug of war.
