phil taylor has been a freaking beast too, unfortunately he was injured almost all this year. he isnt jj watt but he plays his role nicely and was worthy of his first round pick. joe haden too, although last year he did not do much (he was never passed too as well)

definitely would say those 11 guys represent the best that have come into the league in the last 5 years.

Foster? I guess he may not count since he was undrafted.
Lots of new qb's this year that could be on that list in the future.

i always find it humorous that people over look Olineman in stuff like this when they are significantly more important to their teams success than pretty much every other guy listed outside a QB or Adrian Peterson. i shudder to think of how beastly AR would be with a decent Oline
after QB the left tackle position is the most important position on the field. w/o a decent QB it doesnt really matter how much the dude dominates the pass blocks (see: Cleveland with Thomas and Long in Miami up until tannehil, i guess)

yeah, oline is huge. shaun alexander wouldnt have ran for **** in 05 if he didnt have tobek, hutch and jones blowing open holes big enough to drive a train through.

the only issue i have with a lot of the online guys coming out now is they are only really good at one aspect of blocking and not the other. you rarely see a guy that can pass block real well and bulldoze a hole for your backs on the next play. long and thomas can do that but as LT's they really dont have to be a bulldozer. mitchell schwartz looks like he is going to be able to do that too but he has a ways to go to be a good run block guy (which is surprising, we drafted him to mainly for our run game and he has been pass blocking like a stud)

Yeah but that's 3 guys, not one. And the game seems different now. I'm not saying O-line as a whole is not important, I'm just not sure LT is the second most important position on the team. To me, if the second most important position is LT than you should still be pretty good if you have a really good LT and your QB is not that good. But that is not really the case. The browns and dolphins were both pretty bad with top notch LTs and bad quarterbacks. Though its such a huge gap from quarterback and whatever the second most important position is, it doesn't really even matter what the second most important is.

TJ Yeldon is just the next in the line of over hyped Alabama players to disappoint in the NFL.

Or the next in line to score touchdowns in the NFL. I think former UA players scored six touchdowns this weekend.

It's starting to look like it. He's been getting it going over the last couple months and the Saints are rewarding him with carries.

Just going to go ahead and apologize in advance if the Titans field a sub par team like they have most of the season. I am pretty confident we can keep Sanchez looking like Sanchez though.
