Hpa pump

So I was looking at the high powered air rifles ( kinda like a suped up BB gun) and noticed that you can buy a bicycle type pump for them that can pump up to 3k psi. And it connects through a fill nipple which looks to be the same as a paintball tank. Has any one tried it and can confirm if it works or not?

They work but be prepared to have tired arms the more pressure you put into the tank. I've heard of several people being needed to fill one tank and borderline sitting on the pump handle as they neared the max fill pressure.
You'll get some fierce Pop-Eye arms though with only a few tank fills.

Yes it will work but be sure you know how to use the pump properly and be ready to get a workout as mentioned earlier. It gets harder as the pressure goes up and a couple hundred slow pumps later you're going to be in a bad mood. The best one out there is the Hill but it will run you almost $300.

Discoverys are the pumps that come with the Benjamin/Crossman air guns. They are alright and you may be able to find one for less than $200 from someone that is using co2 in their gun instead of the pump.

Be sure you read the directions if you do get a pump. You have to pause at the top and bottom of each stroke and be sure you know how to depressurize to keep the moisture under control or it can ruin the pump.
