Thats like a picture I saw that was retweeted a bunch of times today. It showed a picture of a handgun and said above it how many deaths were from handguns in the US and other countries, then said ban all handguns. I just can't wrap my head around how that makes sense to anyone.

One of the biggest pieces of BS in circulation. The US is the most armed nation in the world and Americans are rude mother****ers.

Gasoline and fertilizer are highly regulated.

This is not a story in your favor, in fact it knocks your case over.

Handguns are far and away responsible for the most firearm murders in the US, so there is plenty of meat there.

Time line of school violence in the U.S going back to the 20's. Yep there were a couple of stabings, a slashing and a few just listed as "killed." But the majority of these were commited using fire arms. Interesting.

I think it was a bad point since they were using the amount of deaths as a reason to ban them. Using that logic, alcohol should be banned.

Alcohol has myriad other uses than causing death, and its point of manufacture is not to cause death. Regardless, Alcohol is tightly regulated and alcohol addiction is treated as a public health concern. But nobody even wants to talk about guns because it's politically risky.

Oh really...Tell me more about how these are regulated. Pretty sure you can buy 1000 gallons of gasoline along with a couple hundred lbs of fertilizer utilizing cash and several stores.

Guns are not created to perform mass killings with though, that's a misuse. Plus banned or not, people will get their hands on guns. All banning them will do is keep them out of the hands of citizens who want to use them correctly.

Modern semiautomatic firearms such as those used in this event are in fact designed to maximize their effectiveness in chaotic situations involving human targets.

The Right of the People to Keep and bear arms has been reaffirmed by the U.S Supreme Court...no reason to keep discussing it.

Maybe someone will use a musket next time to kill the same amount of people just to prove you wrong.

As has the right of government to regulate which arms those are, and just about all aspects of acquiring such arms. Be willfully obtuse if you like, but the only person you are fooling is yourself.

You'll have a point when it happens. You know as well as I do that it won't.

Since when have gasoline and fertilizer been heavily regulated?
BRB going to QT then across the street to home depot. I can make a HME with 1/10 of the money to buy an AR-15 and hundreds of rounds of 5.56.
