J&J Precision Edge Elite Barrel Kit
Found a really good deal on one of these but I've always thought of j&j as a low-end barrel. Has anyone else used one before or have any input? any thought or comments are appreciated!
Here's the description....
"The J&J Edge Elite paintball barrel kit is unquestionably the most technically advanced, precision machined paintball barrel system ever designed. Every barrel back in the set is measured three times for accuracy and engineered to greatly increase the performance of your paintball marker and your game. This powerful combination, combined with our exclusive ceramic coating, reduces friction and increases the accuracy level of your paintball gun tremendously.
The top-of-the-line Edge System to make you the Elite paintball player. With 5 control bores (0.676, 0.679, 0.682, 0.685, & 0.688), you'll be able to any kind of paintball on the market with complete accuracy. The tips provided will produce a 10, 12 and 14 inch paintball barrel when fully assembled. The complete package comes in a padded carrying case, to survive your trips to the paintball field."
So the question is would you buy this kit for a hundred bucks or go with a another barrel? if so, what and why.

I've got an Edge kit and I'm happy with it.
That being said, I haven't compared it to any other kits since it's the only one I own.
And no, they are not low end barrels. For a hundred bucks, with all the backs and tips they give you, it's a good deal. J&J has been in the paintball business for over a decade, so I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing.

I have used a j&j one piece for 5 years now, no complaints from me. If I didn't get a freak kit in a package with one of my guns I'd probably be using an edge kit.

I have owned J&J edge kits over the years and my opinion on them was that I wouldnt buy one unless it was a steal of a deal. I never noticed any increased performance and I have read on the forums several people asking to have J&J barrels bored for freak and the response being that the finish on the J&J being to inconsistent to attempt. Thats not a direct quote.
So I am not saying they are a terrible barrel but I am not sure they are any better than most stock.

I use my J&J over my Freak, Deathstix, Stiffi Switch, pretty much any other kit that you can name.

I have the jj edge elite kit (5 bores 3 tips) to my 98, A5 and phenom for over 3 years now. Wouldnt change it for anything. Light, very accurate, cheap, durable. Actually i am thinking to get the cocker bores to use it with my Ego also. Only the Lapco and the apex2 can be compared to this and yes i have fired cp, freak, rap4, smart parts and tippmann barells.

There made in Ohio about a forty minute drive from me. I used the Edge Elite for three years on my X7 and Phenom and loved it. Edge Elite shot just as good or better then a Hammer Head kit in my opinion.
