Dye boomstick

I'm looking at getting a carbon fiber boomstick for Christmas but what bore size should I get .684 or .688 I use a wide variety of paint at the fields? Any help would be appreciated.

If you use a wide variety.. then get a wide variety of backs.

I'd say go with 688, i'd rather the larger size and potentially be overboring then have a bore match. Personally.

I use the .688 but I like to always overbore and have occasionally run into some very large paint. .684 is probably ideal for most of today's paint using a slight overbore or bore match.

If your field paint varies heavily, don't get such an expensive barrel that limits you to 1 bore... If you have the funding to get all 3, then great! otherwise, I'd look into a barrel kit around the same price. Deadlywind, disruptive, shift, freak, CP, Furious

CFBoomstick
Pros - Stainless steel control bore, longer control bore, tip variety, quieter than DW
Cons - Price, limit to one control bore, limit to thread type

Deadlywind
Pros - Quiet but has a snappy sound signature, multiple thread styles, up to 10 different control bores in either SS or Aluminum, extremely light
Cons - Can't change length of the barrel
