An Easy-out or other type of screw extractor might be difficult to use because of the trigger guard, but you could give it a try. Epoxying a hex key into the head of the screw and letting it dry overnight is also a possibility.

If you dont have epoxy, crazy gluing a hex key in can work as well. Definitely let it dry.

Cut a slot down the middle with hacksaw blade and use a craftsman right angle flathead srewdriver. I have done that 4 or 5 times. Works like a champ.
What a minute, my idea won't work on the a1 because the grip frame screws are recessed. Epoxy it.

Yeah, I was gonna recommend that as well and then realized the same thing. The recessed screws are nice until you strip one.

easy steps:

place gun on floor

put foot on main body

put hand under frame, pull up hard.....jk

try a star shaped bit....us sized. they tend to be bigger than metric.

I just had the same issue. I hammered a slotted screw driver into the stripped hex head. The slot has to be just a little bit bigger then the stripped hex head.
