I think you are at your prime age as others have stated OP. Maybe if the crowd at your field is too young try going to other fields. I know it adds the expense of traveling into the already costly hobby but hey, if you're paying all that money to play and not having fun because you want to play with "equal" competition, whats a extra $20 in gas....
Edit- I'm 29..... I can honestly say though, the good thing about being older, your pockets are usually quite a bit deeper than they were when you were younger.

Your never to old for Paintball. Paintball used to be an adult dominated game. Hell there are people in their 60's who still play.

Not just paintball, but anything in life...If you say "I'm too old for that", then you are correct!
You don't stop doing things because you grow old, you grow old because you stop doing things!
I'm probably a bit slower than you, a bit sneakier than you, and play a bit different than you, but I guarantee I'll paint you as often as you can paint me.
I'm 57 - no end to paintball in sight...
21??? Child, please...

I m 34...my son and I are in a scenario team and we play every other weekend. Age is a number...how you feel is more important. I still feel like I am in my early 20's...I just don't do as much dumb **** as when I was that age!

It is never an age to old to play paintball, well until your sixty, the ref at my local field is about 50~55 ish and still plays, get back in the sport, we need more players to unite and show paintball is a real sport and not a "hobby".

Honestly, you're 21...you aren't old at all. I'm 24 and just started playing again after about 5 years of not playing. Just played in a tournament. My knee is a bit bruised from all the sliding, but overall, definitely had no problem keeping up with anyone and you shouldn't at that age. We're still young and got plenty of fight in us (atleast I do!)

I first played paintball when I was about 17 years old for a party. I haven't touched paintball since. I'm now 20 and I decided to go out and play some paintball again with my friends and after 2 games, we all decided to buy our own equipment since the rental equipment was just horrible. Having my own equipment was enough to spark both my friends and I to start playing a lot more often. I go every single Sunday and work the other 6 days of the week. I took off of work that day specifically to fuel my paintball addiction. I've seen all ages at the field every Sunday, it doesn't matter old or young, as long as you can perform to your expectations

I'm 22 and play every week and all the guys on my team are about the same age. Oldest guy I have ever seen play was in his mid 70s and he was playing speedball at our old field back in 2005.

Its all about passion. If you are 21 and you fell old for playing paintball, go dig a grave, get inside and wait. WTF? i started playing at 22, i am 31 now and i live for the weekend to play paintball. If you love the sport, you dont quit unless its for a good reason( health, familly or money problems).

Look at Mike from ******, he must be atleast in his early 30's. And pro's usually range from 18-35 years old. You're still young man haha.

My father in law is one of the best players at my field, he is 63... Shoot, I'm 40, and won the MVP for my side at the Transformers scenario in April.
Age is just a number. Just have fun!
We also had a guy who played with us for a while who was in his 70's. He stopped playing because he was afraid he might hurt his knees on our field (it is pretty brutal...) and he didn't want to hurt his golf games, as he is a scratch golfer, and wins all kinds of money locally at golf tournaments.

There is no age to old for paintball providing your body can still handle the sport.

Yup. I'm 36 and still playing regularly. Started playing at 17 and have been playing since. While I have no desire to play in any tournaments anymore, I can still regularly hold my own when I go to do team practices and scrimages since some of my friends are on teams (well, it's been a while now that I moved to Arizona, but still).

Wheather you feel that you are too old or you don't...you are right! I'm 51 and started playing with my son 5 or 6 years ago...he loves the game as much as me, but there are some weekends he cant go...so I go by myself...Love it when the pre-teens fight over which team gets me!! We have a paraplegic that comes out in his wheel chair...he can put some paint in your face!! Never too old!

Dang man! You are making me feel really old! I'm 42 and I still play about once a week (speedball/airball, not that woods stuff). I am one of the older people at the field but I think I have earned some respect with my play (won league night 3/5 nights and second the other two). My son is 20 and we play league nights, fight nights and three man tourny's. The muscles are soarer the next day but who cares.

The recball team I used to play with has several guys 50 and up. I'm 48 and play and run my own speedball team (D3) and unless my legs fall off and I can't get the wheelchair on the field I will continue to play. Old is a state of mind.

Awesome. Its funny that the OP is only 21 and thinking he is too old. It honestly made me feel old. But then, it was pretty awesome seeing that a majority of the people who chimed in, are older ballers.....

Im 33 I have been playing since i was 13 or so....I still enjoy the game very much.... the only downside is dealing with the Call of duty kids who just run their mouths and are too scared to do anything on the field..
