Why not just take the punishment like a man? Pay your fines and do what they want you to do. You're the one who paid money for the fake and now you're going to have pay for having it. A lawyer is hella expensive and there is no guarantee.
Sounds to me like you should have just paid a friend to buy you some beer, assuming you have friends that is. You may not be able to have the best time for a few years, but it sure is a whole hell of a lot better than dealing with the police and paying money for something you already paid for.

Because he needs a lawyer. This is a legal charge and he will have it with him until after he dies. Any job will have to have it reported, there are jobs that will refuse to hire you simply from hearing a citation against you.
So the answer to your question why he doesn't man up and pay the fines, there is a **** ton more at stake then some cash lost in a fine.
There is a reason PBN doesn't allow threads like these. It is because people like you have no idea of the legal system or criminal defense and yet come in here and spout off utter bull**** like they know what the penalties are.

i've got an associates degree in paralegal!
i'll get right on this!
it's a class 1 misdemeanor.
nothing serious, same as being drunk in public or flashing your penis.
get a good lawyer.
or try for pre-trial intervention.
either way, you'll probably end up getting a fine.
by the way, getting something expunged from your record is a pain in the ***, so many documents that need to be sent here, notarized here, signed off by a judge here.
