Its one of those things that if you need a set, you NEED a set.

And for the record if I could get my hands on a set, with out ****ing over somebody else (for free), to squirel away for a rainy day when we need a set.

Well that's interesting. The new 50s don't need headspace/timing do they?

Have no idea. Has anybody even gotten their hands on one?

I have, but I've never actually shot them so idk. Im pretty sure they don't though. The barrel has a little knob on it that slides into this rail kinda thing that's cut into the receiver. And somehow that makes it not need timing lol

Ive heard yes and no, I havent seen a M3 or played around with one. The MC is to broke for new toys like that. From my understanding though it is sopposed to be self headspaced (M240) and you still have to preform timining. I could be tottaly wrong though.

They are the M2A1 for the Army. Yes we played with them all day yesterday. They don't need headspace and timing is only done by armorers. Basically no Headspacing and Timing for the end user.

And yes. Headspace and timing Go/No go gauges are anywhere from $500 and up depending. I love this course.

My only guess would be to someone who signed for one and lost it. You'd have to get rid of it for cheap though.

Maybe one of those shady off-post establishments. That is actually a non-expendable component of the M2, so if it is lost...bad news for whoever lost it.

Called my local VA rep to complain about the VA losing my ratings, and taking over a month, without any notification of what's happening, to do my ratings again.

The guy was like, "Did you let the Army just work itself out?"
Me, "After they lost all my paperwork, and still have taken a month+ to get back to me, I figured I'd try and see if someone else could butt in."

He acted like it was a massive burden for him to help me, and that I'm being a pain in the ***.

VA = most worthless organization unless they're paying out.

That's your first issue...should have gone though the VFW or the Legion, there are also a few other orginizations that specifically lobby for vets and do way better than the VA...

My VA is good IMO. I mean, as far as doing what they needed to do with me went great. The 6 months it took for a decision was a bit long but as far as the facility and the people doing the work I count on, they take care of me. Our place is HUUUGE. Remember, this is Tucson. 525,000 population.
