Scouts out.
Naw vests already have a hangar in the back that hooks to a bunch of ****. Plus thats another pos to have/break/waste money on. And if your worried about your kit gettibg dirty or dont have 2x4's to build a cross for in your cave then you probably dont need this, or are a pog.

Your sig says Cavalry. Interesting. During my deployment as a cav scout, I didn't have room to build a cross in any housing I was assigned and a good amount of time I slept outside the wire anyway.

But I didn't say these were for deployment time exactly. I simply shared a product I personally can see as useful. If you don't think so, fine. If others don't think so, fine. But someone might come across it and think, hey I could use that.

Lots of negativity in here. I almost feel like a lot of you are compensating or trying to play a part.

since i'm not issued that/don't give a rats *** about my issued vest, it gets stuff in duffle bag and stays in there until needed.

Fair enough. I guess the unit I was in while in the 101st was unique when it comes to troops caring about their gear. I would have probably said the same thing as you while I was in Korea however.

I always had my gear either staged in the truck on qrf since the trucks were like 10 feet away or on the ground ready to be put on next to my bed. If using it overseas I think thats just an extra step you have to do to put it on (meaning taking it off the hanger instead of just grabing it and throwing it on)

don't get me wrong if it was my own ****/had plates, i'd be slightly interested.
but as it stands, i don't have a vest that i need to baby, or plates to care for.
it would need to be sold at a decent price because really i can make a stand out of a 16ft 2X4 for like $10 around here you know?

I agree that it is less useful while deployed. However, the nature of the military is that more Service Members are not receiving hazardous duty pay than are at any given point. Deployments end and garrison life continues.

So, now there is an additional option. Happy to see you're proficient in your google skills.

As for the stand idea- I understand. I was never a big fan of them myself though. I think they take up more room as well.

Bottom line- I'm not affiliated with the product and won't be receiving any compensation for it. I'm just a friend who said I'd post a link in a few places and help a fellow vet try to produce a product. I do think it looks like a quality piece of equipment that could make life easier so I have no problem sharing it. Opinions vary.

Trying to have a conversation with women about them being in the infantry is a lost cause.

They revert automatically back to "because men are sexist pigs and dont want us in the boys club"

My wife and I were talking about it, she completely understands that women aren't genetically built with the same physical endurance as men, as well as the fact that gender identity in American culture will never allow men to think of women as physical and emotional equals. The whole argument about them already seeing combat is only one sided. Getting ambushed in a convoy is a lot different then humping a ruck through the mountains in Afghanistan, and a lot different then living on a COP without the luxury of separate racks/latrines/showers for women. It just doesn't jive.

The women in combat thing makes me giggle. We had a FET with us during one patrol/firefight and they hid behind a wall in the rear while we wrecked ****. Combat makes you a combat veteran, not a combat zone.

I mean, I understand its just Panetta trying to leave a legacy and it'll never go into practice once they're required to meet physical standards they simply cant. The Marine Corps already let two women try their Infantry Officers course and they failed miserably.

why is she not wearing eyepro?

For the most part I agree on the not letting women into combat arms. We had 4 females on our fob, 3 fet and 1 medic. The medic was cool as **** and had no issue doing what needed to be done. Fet members usually ****ed things up for everyone and was always a pain in the *** on missions (the few they did go on) and required special treatment. I think some females could do well just like how some guys cant do a pushup but for the most part its just females trying to prove something and in the process lowering the qualityof the fighting force.

morale at an all time low... i thought immediately prior to deployment the idea was to give you as much family time as possible not to take it all away... time to turn on the autopilot and zone out for a few days..
