We could alternate formats if participation warrants.
Example: RaceTo 2 Feb, April, June, August
RaceTo 4 March, May, July, Sept
If we have grown any this season the RaceTo 4 would be capable of being a stand alone event without RaceTo 2 without an Open or D2. We can't justify turning away RaceTo 4 teams if this is the case. A 1 day RaceTo 2 young guns and pump event on the off month just makes sense to me. Being 1 day should greatly reduce cost and can be used as practice for the RaceTo 4 teams.

Interesting idea, We would unfortunately have to pull out. It double the expenses. (gas, hotels, etc. ).

not necessarily you could only play one format and it would just be about the same amount i just don't wanna see anyone pull out of the league cause of this |

Thats what I meant, sorry for the misunderstanding. I have no intentions of pulling out. I just can't afford to bring the team to both. We would have to scrap one team.

it would cost the msxl more to do this for not that much gain. your doubling expenses just to add a d 2 division if you use 3 fields the d2 refs expenses could come from thier entry fees.

thats how you get in trouble
that could work darrin, if you can get enough 5 man teams you could do 1 day for 5 man and a 2 day for X, but it would have to be a good enough incentive for the teams that play both so they actually can afford to play that much paintball, would be great practice playing the 5 man for the X ball teams

I might be missing something here. But is there some reason we are wanting to revamp the entire series? Its the best of the regional series in the country. I get you want to allow more d2 guys in... cant we just modify the rules a little to allow an additonal player or two on the roster?

That's a big ??? Every year. Still working with APPA and PSP to figure that one out. Don't want to exclude anyone but there really isn't enough D2 players and teams in the region to have a stand alone D2 division. |
