No you must place multiple events xxm4ddogxx before you rank up. It takes 3 places with 10 teams or more before you rank up to d4 mid season if you have no points already. You can play one or two and it won't hurt you.

Exactly.. Or you could just get a bunch of old capable D3 ballers throw them on a roster and pick on the D4 bracket.  |

You can have two d3 or one d3 and one d2 as long as their points are not more than 1476 and the combined points of both cant be 1968. I dont think there is anything about how many of them can be on the field at once.
