Amazing customer service, my ETHA was purchased used but i was able to register it and recieved my spring less poppet. I didnt get a chance to try it cause i noticed the rubber bolt tip was missing when i chopped a ball in the breach. Saturday will be the test though hope to put a case threw it....

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed but what are the expected gains from the springless poppet?

I recently got my Etha used. I registered it with Eclipse. When can I expect a springless poppet kit to come my way?

Emailed you sir. I was expecting quick customer service from Eclipse, but not 6 hours right after my post. Damn that was fast! Glad I'm supported by one of the best paintball companies.

I played with my new springless this weekend. The velocity was all over the place. When I put the new one in I stripped the gun and did a thorough cleaning. Just never seen it jump around like it was found. It would go from 290 to 250. Does it just need to be broken in?

Spring-less poppet is working flawlessly for me, no problems with velocity or anything. Can't wait to bring my Etha back to the field in 2 weeks to play with it again! (getting wisdom teeth out thursday, so i can't go this weekend )

There are two major things I would say causing this. Either your battery is running low, or the paint you are shooting is old/bad/cheap. If you're using the stock barrel then this is most likely your problem, since the stock .693 bore leaves room for all kinds of FPS jumps with lower quality paint.

Yeah mine is working perfectly fine as well with the new kit. Is it my imagination or the gun is now a tad smoother?

I was using my .685 back. Brand new battery. When I used the same back on my Etek with the same paint was +/- 5.

Or remove lube. Too much or too little will cause issues. But as Goshawk said, I'd start with the little silver plunger piece in the back of the new poppet.

I guess it's best to just watch the video Jack made on YouTube of maintenance though that one doesn't have the updated poppet. I thought these designs were supposed to lack the drawbacks of the typical spoolie. Oh jk that was the Geo line

Emailed Nicky T. 7th of January and got a reply same day.
Poppet was mailed out Jan 28th from Aaron Sheedy on the 28th of Jan.
ALL communications were answered with in hours.

I AM VERY HAPPY!
With the load of parts Planet Eclipse had to send out this side of the pond.
Also my Etha was purchased used from Pekin Paintball Park.

So three weeks to get a free replacement part is freaking awesome.

To avoid making another thread I will post my problem here.

Just installed my springless poppet kit today. Silver piece is lubed and poppet orings lubed. Keep in mind I had no problems prior to this but wanted to update to the springless kit to avoid any future problems.

Stock bolt/spring: when aired up the bolt was sticking too far forward, as if the spring was not providing enough force to push it back. Because of this balls were not loading into the breach. So I changed to the TECHT MRT bolt/spring I had purchased.

TECHT MRT bolt/spring: the bolt is now returned far enough back to load balls without issue. However now, it would fire 4-6 shots fine, then after would fire when no ball was seen in the breach and then continue firing normally. This happened 3 times when shooting through about 40 balls or so.

Has anybody else had this issue? Possibly a bad stock bolt spring?
