Ford actually makes a quality product these days. After the bailout they got their stuff together. I can't say the same about Chrysler. Their cars were **** before the bailout and continue to be ****.

Ehh, Ford has always had some decent stuff. All their trucks are on par with other american trucks. My issue with them is in all their consumer cars. They're complete pieces of ****.

Focus/Fusion is the best cheaper/not so cheap-ish consumer car combo in the market, dawg.

Seriously. They're really good for the money.

Kizashi and Sonata continually outdo them in consumer satisfaction ratings.

Drove a 79 Ford F150 in High School. Thing was tank, never gave me or my family any problems. Cant say that I would buy a newer Ford though. Just not a big fan. Older Ford though, hell yea.

I would have to agree that those models do come with a lot of goodies standard and for a great price. However, calling their Ford counterparts "complete pieces of ****" is kind of harsh. I'd accept either, given my current mill.

Wow this thread went OT real quick.

But honestly yeah American cars are the way to go. I've never owned anything but. My first vehicle was a 97 Jeep Cherokee Classic. It had a little under 100k miles on it when I got it. I ran it to 200k with zero problems ever. Never had a starter go out or anything

My mistake. I often find myself referring to GM as just Chrysler. It's not only the Chrysler brand that is ****.

The current models look nice but it's too early to tell how their reliability will hold up.

Even the mid 2k cars are having some severe reliability issues. Google biggest recalls and see how many Fords are up there...
