My GM's son is in the chair force, they paid for his college, he's in OCS right now, lives on an army base. He gets paid extra money for having to live on an army base. His housing allowance is ~$2000/month.
That being said, living near a marine base, I see all types of moron d-bags buying expensive cars when they get their signing bonus. The overwhelming majority of repo's we get are from marines.

I'm not a fan of ram, but that's more because I associate white trash with dodge ram. The new ones are actually pretty nice, I just can't get past that stigma. Similar to how I like the new hyundais but could never buy one because I can't get past the poor people drive hyundais stigma
Also the honda truck is lame
