Just starting out with my 10 year old. My local fields are field paint only. But i am looking for inexpensive paint for him to shootin in the backyard only. I found this paint at walmart. Or are there any other suggestions

Don't know about everyone else but to me if I was to buy paint just to shoot around for fun and to test out a marker I would just go get some reballs where you can reuse them. I'd use the JT from Wal-Mart before and they are alright just to shoot around for fun but they do suck since I always see dimples in them and they don't ever fly straight. Average case of 2000 runs for around $40 after tax so I would say go to your local paintball store and get their cheapest paint which is either same price or cheaper sometimes than wal-mart paints to have fun in the backyard. Thats just my 2 cent

Thanks for this information. My sister has been wondering about this topic for a while. I completely agree with the above comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its due to sites like this that ideas are spreading so quickly.

To shoot around the backyard walmart paint is fine.
Make sure the gun is cleaned after because you will probably get breaks.

If you are using it to shoot in the backyard than it is more than fine. Just be sure to count those you shoot towards you cases until you clean. Every marker will need cleaned after so many cases shot. Consult your manual on that.

Me and my team use this for team practice we love it its about 32 dollars a 2000 case out the door and it works just as well as our field paint saddly sometimes there are breaks in the bag but these usually work surprisingly well

Got them once, curve very hard when shooting longer distances. And expect breaks,no matter what marker you're using. and it might be against walmart rules, but i opened my case before leaving the paintball isle.
