Dandruf
ST.... I come to you with an embarrassing issue. I have been struggling with dandruff since I got on this new medication. I have to take the meds so cutting them out isnt an option.
I have tried selsun blue and head and shoulders. They don't seem to make much or any difference compared to normal shampoos. Help please cause it sucks.
edit: yes op sucks and cant spell.

in my experience shampoos dont do **** unless you take your fingernails and shred the **** out of any dead skin while in the shower

Yea me too. Is that how people normally shower? I usually just scrub my head lightly for a minute or so then rinse it out.

I have pitch black hair. The flakes show in my hair after a couple hours. Its not a lot of flakes but it can be noticeable. I had someone ask me if I spilled some thing on my head and didnt know the other night out to dinner. They were just trying to be nice but it was seriously embarrassing. I am a fairly secure person. I am weird and awkward so I am used to being embarrassed and get over it quickly. But.... no girl is going to want to rub her hands through my hair if I got a flaky mess going on up there.

I don't get bad dandruff but I get pretty rough dry scalp and light dandruff as a result.
I know head and shoulders with a good scrub and leaving it in for a minute or two helps. And I always let a conditioner soak in my hair for like 5 minutes after that so maybe that contributes?
There's some **** out there I used that was like medical strength that tore my hair up, soft wise, but once every 2 weeks or so would keep my head good.

I have bad dry scalp. So bad i scratched my head until it bleeds.
Scratched so much my hair started to fall out and i've got a receding hair line because of all the scratching.
The only thing I find that works is to stay hydrated. Don't drink any soda or sugar drinks. Only drink water. ONLY!!!!
And taking some sort of vitamin helps. I just purchased a multivitamin to help with my body. This includes hair and nails. Etc..
Read on Omega-3. Good for hair.
Don't itch it will cause permanent hair damage. Like I said all the itching has made me lose hair that wont re grow back.
I once loved my beautiful brown hair. I should have taken better care of it. Now i'm probably going to be bald by the time I hit 30 years old.
I'm trying to save the last of my hair by reading on how to keep hair healthy. Eating certain foods with Vitamin D. Lot's of vegetables help promote hair growth. Just keep reading.
