As you stated the difference in the AM and LT is the AM model has aluminum feedneck/lever, eye covers, and frame. Where the LT has GRN parts, similar to the composite in Glock handguns. In my opinion the advantages and disadvantages go as listed.
AM advantages:
*Allows to to anodize everything if desired
*Allows you to install the Emortal board
AM Disadvantages
*Its aluminum we all know what happens if you land on them
*Costs a bit more
*A bit heavier (almost unnnoticable)
LT advantages
*To my knowledge no documented frame breaks
*Costs less
*A bit lighter (almost unnoticable)
LT disadvantages
*Cannot install Emortal board without frame modifications
*Cannot anodize GRN parts
I'm sure there are more to them but I don't have enough time to write up a full review. Everyone will have their different opinions on the two models. But in my own personal opinion I would go AM. Also in the overall scheme of things if you are going to drop around $400+ on a marker I would look around for an Ego. I have seen Ego 9s go for not much more than $400 if you get lucky. Even if it is an ugly brown and beat up you can still get it anodized, and BOOM you got a nice newish Ego 9!
