What does this screw do?

what does this screw do? No one ever mentions it while cleaning their luxe and I was wondering if it was ok to remove because mine was really dirty so I took it out and cleaned it but after watching many maintenance videos, no one ever touches it.

To sum it up, what does the screw do? and was it ok that I removed it?

That screw hole connects to the 1 front screw hole under your barrel .. You will need to place blue locktite on the screw upon reassembly in order to have a complete seal.

I believe it seals an air passage. If it's all the way in, it will probably partially block that air passage.

I can't find a Luxe animation, but it's very similar to the shocker. If believe that screw plugs the back side of the hole that is marked here as 'pressure from reg'.

It's an air passage way and yes it was alright to remove but you are going to need to blue loctight the screw before you put it back in

NO! It will BLOCK THE AIR PASSAGE screwed all the way in, make sure it is flush with the body in which it is seated, and blue loctited so it holds a seal.

Best answer is put it back like you found it. If that common sense evades you, then screw it all the way in for best LP performance.

I know that would be the best option but I couldnt remember if it was or wasnt all the way in. It was hard to tell with how dirty it was

It is a body plug. DO NOT remove it. They can be a PITA to get to seal back up, and it is possible to damage the threads in the body if you take in / out to much with the red locktite that is used.

They drill that hole in the body through to supply air to the firing can.
