dont play tekkit. play feed the beast.
FTB is the new tekkit, except it has the approval of all the mod creators whos mods are in it, and it will be updated frequently. Tekkit was basically illegal and the mod makers put a stop to it, so tekkit will stop being updated and FTB is the new modpack.
