Finding Deaf Paintball Players

Hi. I'm deaf (Hearing Impairod).

I play in professional paintball in Australia e.g. super 7's, nppl, millennius and world cup asia. (Not bushball or fun).

I'm the only deaf person in Australia to play paint.

I'm trying to find other deaf person in any county a round the world.

I'd be happy to chat via email etc..

I'm trying to find some people in the USA, London, New Zealand and Asia etc....

Who play pro paintball that be interested in chating to me !!!.

cheers Vision

Salute From USA!

I am one of few Deaf players in America, We don't really get involved in any of those professional teams/leagues . Most of us are Military Brats playing against the Veterans at several military bases. Till recently, Deaf players have been discussing about forming a Deaf Paintball and/or Airsoft battles tournament. Unfortunately, there are very few Deaf players. However, I would like to keep in contact with the international Deaf players alike you guys. In my opinion, playing in the international tournaments would be more fun than playing in American tournaments. Just feel free to contact me and we can discuss.

How do you guys overcome the challenge of not hearing your team's communication? How about playing with hearing teammates who are not familiar with your type of play? More power to you guys for playing!

Its important for us to check where our teammates are at, just a few quick glances around the field does that and for the communication part we use either sign language or hand signals. Works for as well as it does for the military and SWAT guys out there.

I "hear" its quite nice to be able to mute out all that popping sound on the field and be able to focus on whats ahead of you or do you just get used to that and block it out??

I'm hard of hearing, left ear is almost useless. I really find that hard of hearing and deaf people focus alot better than normal people. Like we acquired an extra sense, more alertness.
