Anyone here use a cable based chest press like a life fitness machine?

Looking for a high rep flat/decline replacement.

I believe my gym has the Life Fitness seated bench press as well as regular flat cable bench but I forget the brand. Both of them bother my shoulders, no matter the weight. Just feels very unnatural sticking to the 'path.'

I prefer this machine:

I see a lot of the pros using it in their videos too. Something about having it angled up from the ground rather than from over you just feels better for me. Although I also like the "plate-loaded" HS chest machines, but only certain variations. Constant tension and able to get a great squeeze.

I typically end my chest workout with that machine, higher rep ranges ~12 and slow negatives with a paused stretch. Feels good, especially right after doing heavier low-rep presses.

This is why I asked, I hadn't recall seeing ay serious lifters using it so I thought the might be a reason behind it.

That's the same one my gym has BTW, guess I will try it next week.

Why not machine chest press? Why not waffle press? Why not panini press? Why not squats? Why not leg press? Why not hack squat? Why not ask why not about everything? Perhaps he does do flyes sometimes and perhaps he does machine press sometimes

Though I do find monkey's definition of high rep ranges, "~12 (reps)", pretty intredasting

Nom saiyan cuzzins?

Im working on this big 29 point extra credit sheet for calc if anyone can help me with this question:

Show analytically that if marginal cost is less than average cost, then the derivative of average cost with respect to quantity satisfies a`(q)<0.

All I know right now is that a(q)=c(q)/q which is just the average cost function.

A relationship between average cost and marginal cost is: If marginal cost is less than average cost, then increasing production decreases average cost.
