hyper 2's are sick, pretty sure the stock reg on the NXT is just like the ION reg, which isnt too bad, its just not very friendly to servicing. I see a lot of CP regs on shockers though, mostly CP actually. me personally, I like the classic SP vertical max flo's that came stock on 03-06 shockers. pretty simple to maintain and service, and the recharge rate on them is pretty quick, although there are better regs out there, of which im not too familiar.

+1 AKA makes fantastic regulators. Get a 2-Liter or Sidewinder if you want to spend good money on a good reg.

You can buy new 2-Liters, Sidewinders, and replacement parts for them from AKA's website guys. They aren't out of business, they just don't make full markers anymore. 2-Liter for $95 Sidewinder for $75.

you want a good classic reg, the palmers stabilizers are excellent regs. Still one of my favorite regs to this day.

Loved the stabilizer. I just don't like the look of it on some markers. Last marker I had one on was an '02 Blackmagic Autococker that was blacked out w/ 12" Freak tip'd Freak Barrel. Had a Stabilizer on it along with a Rock. That was a great combo on a 'cocker. And yes, it was still mechanical. I've never had an e-bladed 'cocker in my life.

I have a Palmer's on my pump - it's fantastic.

Stock shocker regs can be had on the cheap, and they are plenty reliable.

Hyper 2s are dirt cheap now, too - and also what my e-cocker is using.

AKA regs are pretty terrific, too.
