How to make my 2.0 quieter
I got about 15 cases through my 2.0. FT is in, dwell is at 14, fsdo at 10, and manifold is turned in but not sure how many turns 3-4 I'm guessing, It still shoots 12 bps all day according to the double tap on power button, and tank pressure is 500-550. Paint to bore match is good as well. Any suggestions to make it a little quieter.

It might just be me. I just think its louder than a few others I've heard lately. I was just curious if there might be orings that might need to be changed or something.

Have someone else shoot it and listen to it from a distance. You will tell how much quieter it is. From you shooting it you're hearing the ambient vibration sounds rather than the actual shot. When you're not the one shooting it, it sounds a lot quieter.

That's a good idea. I think I just got so used to the sound and feel that it's in my head.

What do you chrono at? Potentially a significant difference between 275 and 300 fps sound-wise.

I chrono at 280 and no i dont overbore. As stated it might be me thinking its louder. i shot my Ego and it was quite a bit louder and its tuned pretty good. I let a few others shoot my luxe and they all said man that thing is quiet. It had to be my mind messing with me.

I'm guilty of this as well. Sometimes I'll think my Luxe is loud or that it has too much recoil. Until I shoot something else and I realize that I'm just spoiled. Lol.

I'm gonna leave dwell where it's at for the winter. It's shooting great. Not gonna mess with it now. I'll mess with it when it gets warmer.

You have almost the exact same settings as I run on my 2.0, and its pretty quiet. Shoots straight and flat with no drop off. You could try turning your manifold screw in like a 1/2 turn, but honestly if its shooting good leave it because even stock luxes are quieter than most guns.

The more paint you run thru it the quieter it will get.

Thats good to hear, I have about 16-18 cases thru it now. im just gonna leave it like it is for the winter and then try lowering dwell, fsdo and tune manifold a little more this spring. What does lowering fsdo accomplish. If im able to lower it any does it help anything at all?

Personally, I've seen no benefits to lowering dwell/FSDO. Reducing these things, reduces the amount of time electricity flows to the noid (for all shots or the first shot after break between shots respectively) and hence the amount of time that forward pressure is applied to the bolt.
The Luxe dumps a set amount of air per shot (like most modern spools), so lowering your dwell does not increase your efficiency or decrease the noise in my experience. I find longer dwell to be preferable because it helps keep the marker consistent as little issues come up like lack of lube, slightly leaky orings, thickening lube due to cold, etc.
I think your best bet would be dwell of 16ish, FT in and then tune the manifold. The luxe is quiet, but not the most quiet gun out there. It has other things going for it like it's ergonomics and extreme gentleness on paint.

Thanks poop. I just saw this as thread was put back up top. So really the only way to really tune the Luxe is thru the manifold. The other settings from what I've read don't do a whole lot as a means of tuning without having adverse effects possibly. Is there a way to tune the luxe to lower that set amount of air to increase efficiency. I would like to get better efficiency but I'm not willing to use or try the EF Rods as I've heard they can compromise the shot quality, and create problems on their own.

I would suggest trying it without the FT in. You can lower the dwell to 12. You'll get a little better efficiency. That with a slight underbore, I have no problem getting 9 pods. Manifold adjusted, I can't tell a whole lot of a difference with the FT in or out
FT in I wouldn't lower the dwell any less than 14ms, mine won't even fully cycle with any dwell lower than 14 with FT in.
Take the FT out and start at 12ms
